Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini among South African journalists, editors during Elections Training Workshop organized by the Independent Electoral Commission(IEC).

ROSEBANK: Zweli Martin Dlamini, the editor of this Swaziland News was invited by the South African Editors Forum, the Press Council in collaboration with Independent Electoral Commission(IEC) of South Africa to participate in a Media Training Workshop held at Rosebank on Tuesday.

The workshop seeks to train and capacitate journalists to report accurately on the upcoming 2024 South African Provincial and National Elections, the Swaziland News is a member of the Press Council of South Africa, an institution that regulates the media.

The editor said participating in such Workshops enables him to gain more experience on reporting particularly because South Africa is a democratic country where the media is free.

“Such workshops are significant in capacitating us as journalists and editors, we also network and discuss other issues during tea break.Through such platforms, one is also able to meet highly experienced editors and journalists and learn from them because in journalism, learning is a continuous process”, said the editor.
