Former Deputy Speaker Esther Dlamini disqualified at Mbabane East, Times editor, others pass vetting process.

MBABANE: Esther Dlamini, the former Deputy Speaker in the House of Assembly has been disqualified from standing for elections as a Member of Parliament(MP) at Mbabane East.

As a result,Dlamini is not on the list of Mbabane East ballot papers, that has been prepared ahead of the Primary Elections to take place in the next two(2) weeks.

Efforts to reach the former Deputy Speaker proved unsuccessful as her cellphone rang unanswered.

Mbonisi Bhembe, the Spokesperson of the Elections Commission had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

It is alleged that, the former Deputy Speaker was owing tax among other reasons,that resulted to her disqualification.

The latest developments suggest that Times editor Welcome Dlamini will now compete with veteran journalist Vusi Sibisi, Themba Makhanya, David Dlamini, Sandile Vilakati, Paul Vusi Dlamini
