Businessman Moses Khwesha Simelane reported to Ndabazabantu for illegally constructing multi-million Filling Station on disputed land, eKutsimuleni uMphakatsi summoned.

MKHIWENI:Businessman Moses Khwesha Simelane was on Monday  formally reported to Ndabazabantu of the Manzini for illegally constructing a multi-million Filing Station in a land owned by a Shongwe family.

The land was allegedly grabbed from the Shongwe family by eKutsimuleni uMphakatsi led by Indvuna Rogers “Nyonende” Mamba, it has been a centre of dispute since the construction started.

The businessman terminated the conversation on Tuesday evening, shortly after this journalist started questioning him about the disputed land.

Ekutsimuleni Governor(Indvuna) Rogers Mamba who was instrumental in grabbing the land, had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

An electronic recording in our possession suggests that, the matter was first discussed by uMphakatsi as per the traditional procedure, however, the Shongwe family proceeded to Ndabazabantu(National Court) after the same Royal Kraal(uMphakatsi) that grabbed the land failed to resolve the matter.

Reached for comments,Khulekani Shongwe said Ndabazabantu called Simelane and told him to stop the construction of the Filling Station with immediate effect.

“We were present with Ndabazabantu at his office, Ndabazabantu Mr Nxumalo called the businessman and put the call on a loud speaker. Simelane was told to stop the construction of the Filling Station pending finalization of the matter. Unele kumshayela Ndabazabantu sikhona natsi silalele watsi Simelane “ukuphi ye-Ndabazabantu sengikubone” ngisola kutsi abefuna kudiza. Watsi Ndabazabantu ungibona ini mani yekelani lokwakha nivele lapha nineMphakatsi”, said the member of the Shongwe family whose land was grabbed by the businessman with the assistance of uMphakatsi.

The disputed land allegedly owned by the Shongwe family is situated at Luve  T-junction.
