MBABANE: Mbonisi Bhembe, the Spokesperson of the Elections and Boundaries Commission(EBC) says the special voting will be conducted openly, representatives of nominees(Bogalajane) are welcomed to witness the voting process.
The Spokesperson was responding to to this Swaziland News amid allegations of information from State intelligence sources suggesting that, the Commission was plotting to conduct the special voting secretly on Tuesday and/or without the presence of boGalajane for nominees.
“Kindly verify with the EBC, there seems to be a plot to conduct a secret special voting. This where the all rigging happens, why is the EBC not informing the Nation or nominees about the special voting”, said the insider.
But EBC Spokesperson, when responding to a questionnaire from this Swaziland News, maintained that, everything would be done transparently.
“The Special Voting will be held openly on the 22nd August. Here specific voter who have electoral assignments on the 26th August as well as Inmates who registered to vote will be voting.Polling Agents (bogalajane) and/or candidates will be able to witness the process.Nothing will be conducted in secret except balloting and the particulars of the Registrants”, said the Elections Commission Spokesperson.
