MBABANE: Thandiwe Mashinini, the MTN Eswatini Corporate Affairs Manager has confirmed that network, in some of the mobile company’s sites were affected by the windstorm that hit the country on Friday night.
Responding to this Swaziland News on Saturday afternoon, the Corporate Affairs Manager said,as a result, they were working in collaboration with the Eswatini Electricity Company(EEC) to restore the services.
“MTN can confirm that some of our sites have been affected by the windstorm and we are working in collaboration with EEC to restore services.We regret the inconvenience to our valued customers”, said the Corporate Affairs Manager in a message sent to editor Zweli Martin Dlamini.
Eswatini experienced a heavily windstorm on Saturday evening, some properties were damaged and internet blackouts were were experienced in some parts of the country.
