KING’S SPOKESPERSON PERCY SIMELANE: Cabinet Ministers who lost Primary Elections to remain in office until 25th September 2023 as per Gazette.

LOZITHA:Percy Simelane, the King’s Spokesperson says, the Gazette signed by the Monarch, extending Cabinet’s term of office stands and therefore, Ministers who lost Primary Elections will remain in office until the 25th September 2023.

Responding to this Swaziland News on Monday evening, when asked to clarify what will happen to the Ministers who lost Primary Elections, the King’s Spokesperson maintained that, these Ministers will bow out on the day stipulated by the Gazette.

“Our experience is that the gazette in question stands and the ministers who have not made it in the elections will bow out on the day stipulated by the gazette that extended their service just like the rest of their colleagues”, said the King’s Spokesperson.

Education Minister Lady-Howard Mabuza and Tourism Minister Moses Vilakati lost Primary Elections last weekend.

But some voters demonstrated confidence in Tinkhundla Minister David Cruizer Ngcamphalala, Agriculture Minister Jabulani ‘Buy Cash’ Mabuza, Public Service Minister Mabulala Maseko and Labour Minister Phila Buthelezi, these Ministers won the Primary Elections within their Constituencies.
