MBABANE: Modicai Donga,the Zimbabwean lawyer who was heading the “Pay Your TV License” Project, has been accused of demanding sex from a dismissed employee of SV Mdladla and Associates, a lawfirm that was overseeing the project.
This is contained in court documents and/or a report of dispute filed with the Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration Commission(CMAC), a labour dispute resolution body, established in terms of the Industrial Relations Act of 2000.
The employee whose name cannot be revealed for ethical reasons, as she is an alleged victim of sexual abuse, took SV Mdladla and Associates to the Industrial Court for alleged unfair dismissal, Donga is cited in his capacity as the senior employee within the reputable lawfirm.
“On or around June 2021, whilst under the employment of SV Mdladla and Associates, Modicai Donga, a senior member of the Management began using his seniority to make unwanted physical and sexual advances to me and this would occur on several occasions throughout my employment until August 2022”, reads the report of dispute.
But, the employee subsequently took SV Mdladla and Associates to the Industrial Court, after CMAC failed to resolve the matter.
