MBABANE: Phila Buthelezi, the outgoing Minister of Labour and Social Security has called for social dialogue to prevail within the workplace.
The Minister was speaking this week during the signing of the Outcome Report on issues raised by the Trade Union Congress of Swaziland(TUCOSWA)in 2022, the Report entailed the outcomes of the Conciliation process between Government and TUCOSWA chaired by the Hon. Judge Sifiso Nsibande.
Representing ILO was Limpho Mandoro, a social dialogue and labour administration specialist based in Pretoria.
According to Government online platforms, in his remarks, the Minister appealled that this should send a particular message to all stakeholders to make effective and positive use of structures like CMAC in an attempt to secure amicable settlement of their disputes.
“TUCOSWA.and Government stand here today to market the products of CMAC, in particular conciliation and mediation. Let social dialogue prevail at the workplace!"
Speaking on behalf of TUCOSWA, Secretary General Mduduzi Gina praised the successful and enabling atmosphere that was present during the negotiations. He reitarated on how social dialogue structures were evident in Government.
Also present during the event were the Ministry’s social partners, FESWATU, Business Eswatini and senior Government officials, among others.
