MBABANE: Moses Vilakati, the Minister of Tourism and Environmental Affairs has officially launched Eswatini’s World Tourism Month under the theme
‘Tourism and Green Investments: Investing in People, Planet and Prosperity’, as declared by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
According to Government online platforms, the event was commemorated at the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology and attended by young people from the institution, Eswatini College of Technology as well as Tinkhundla Centres across the country. It has been reported that, the Minister spoke on the importance of Investing in Prosperity by fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in green-themed projects “which is a great way” to create a sustainable future."
“Sustainable development is progress that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.It requires us to use resources wisely and to protect the environment,” said the Minister .
