MAPHUNGWANE: Nkululeko Mbhamali, the former Matsanjeni North Member of Parliament(MP) says he is not,in any way, Mduduzi Magawugawu Simelane’s agent for change but, he participated in the elections as Liswati from Maphungwane.
This comes after the President of the Swaziland Liberation Movement(SWALIMO), in a live video, mentioned names of aspiring MPs who,he said, were his agents for change after SWALIMO members lost Primary Elections in numbers.
But some of the concerned aspiring MPs contacted this Swaziland News expressing concerns why Magawugawu linked them to his political agenda without even consulting them.
It is alleged that Magawugawu conducted a research of aspiring MPs who might win and then went live on social media claiming to be endorsing them so that, when they make it to Parliament, it would be like it was him who told the people to vote for them.
“Emahlahlandlela are not only SWALIMO members, you can be happy that SWALIMO members lost elections but, we have more agents of change in the race to Parliament,” said the SWALIMO President.
Magawugawu then identified Mbhamali as one of his agents of change, however, the former MP vigorously denied this and took serious offense after being labelled Magawugawu’s Lihlahlandlela.
“Angikwati nekutsi kuyini lokwemahlahlandlela, mine ngingenele lukhetfo nje njengeLiswati, ekhaya kukaMaphungwane. As we speak I am with the people, I am transporting voters who are sick to the Luke Commission. Angati-ke nasekuchamuka umuntfu angibita ngelihlahlandlela lakhe, yini kona loko,” said the former MP who will compete with Labour Minister Phila Buthelezi.
On another note, Mbhamali said, elections are not easy and requires practical action on the ground not to be referred to as Lihlahlandlela by Magawugawu.
The former MP said, these days he is spending sleepless night campaigning and he hope, the people will vote for him.
