MBABANE: Siboniso Nkambule, the Principal Secretary(PS) in the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade says, the Eswatini Industrial Policy (2023-2033) will enhance economic development in the country, Government online platforms reported on Wednesday.
The policy seeks to help the Government achieve its National Development Goals through economic recovery, sustainable and inclusive economic growth and environmental sustainability.
“The Ministry believes that this reviewed Industrial Policy will address various challenges that our economy is currently facing such as; a sluggish economic growth, persistent fiscal crisis, high unemployment rate, in particular youth unemployment, high levels of inequality and poverty and declining Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), among others,” said the PS who was represented by Registrar of companies Msebe Malinga.
