MBABANE: Mancoba Khumalo, the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade announced the construction of a factory shell at Ndzevane under Lubulini iNkhundla, he was accompanied by Economic Planning and Development Minister Dr Thambo Gina when he made the announcement.
Dr Thambo Gina is seeking a second term as a Member of Parliament(MP) at Lubulini, on Wednesday, he allegedly colluded with the Commerce Minister to campaign with State resources after Mswati ‘extended’ Cabinet term of office to the 25th September 2023.
According to Government online platforms, the construction of the factory shell was awarded to Stefanutti Stocks, the Minister said the factory will be occupied by Sigma Clothing, a textile company in the fashion value production space which supplies mainly ladies and kids outwear.
\"It enhances our competitive position in the region as the race to attract investors is on. This is the second factory shell that will be constructed in the area.\"The project will be used as a flagship project for the Kingdom, to promote Eswatini as an investment destination of choice. Therefore, we are banking on the appointed contractors to showcase our potential as Eswatini that we can deliver world class projects within the required timelines and costs,” said the Commerce Minister at Ndzevane on Wednesday.
