LOBAMBA:Lindiwe Gwebu-Dlamini, the re-elected Senate President prayed hard together with members of the Jesus Calls Worship Centre(JCWC) for the Prime Minister or alternatively, the Deputy Prime Minister position but unfortunately, the prayers did not penetrate the sky to ‘reach’ Heaven.
The JC was praying to God to convince King Mswati to appoint Gwebu as the new Prime Minister, the Senate President was among those who presented before Sibaya together with new Prime Minister Russell Mmemo Dlamini.
A questionnaire was sent to the Senate President, however, she had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
An effort was then made to reach Bubsy Mavuso, the JC Spokesperson, however, he had not responded to our questionnaire at the time of compiling this report.
It has been disclosed that, since Sibaya started on the 23rd October 2023, the politically ambitious Gwebu has been vigorously praying with other church members, others allegedly prayed to God to give her guidance as she perform her duties as the Prime Minister.
But after the King appointed Russell Dlamini as the PM on Friday, the prayer changed on Sunday, this time the JC prayed for Lindiwe Gwebu to become the next Deputy Prime Minister.
On another note, the Senate President when presenting before Sibaya said, if she was to be appointed as the Head of Government, she would create jobs and fight corruption.
“This country is very small with a population of 1.2million and half of the population are young people, we have land covering 17000 square meters, this country could be developed within five(5) years. We need to create sustainable jobs, the youth is languishing in poverty and this make it easier for certain people to use them to push their own political agendas”, said the Senate President.
On another note, the former Senate President called for decisive action against corruption, she said especially laws that are passed to deal with corruption.
