MBABANE: Mandla Tshawuka, the newly appointed Minister of Agriculture says women and the youth deserve access to more opportunities.
The Agriculture Minister was speaking on Thursday during the Farmer of the Year Awards held at the Riders Ranch, Makhosazana Mngomezulu from Shewula walked away with the first prize under the Youth category while Gugu Patricia Mndzebele Shongwe from Lwandle in the Manzini region is the Adult category overall winner.
“It is imperative that women and youth continue to access such opportunities. The future of our agricultural sector heavily relies on empowering and nurturing this promising generation through such initiatives.We believe in fostering an inclusive environment where everyone has an equal chance at realizing their potential,” said the Minister as quoted by Government online platforms.
