MBABANE:King Mswati has been cleared after former Secretary General(SG) of the Economic Freedom Fighters(EFF) Godrich Gardee accused the eSwatini Head of State of killing his daughter Hillary Gardee.
The death of Hillary Gardee was clouded by a series of accusations against individuals including Mswati before the arrest of a suspect who confessed to have killed Gardee.
Phileomon Lukhele, a member of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) was wrongfully arrested and subsequently released,he is suing the South African police.
Responding to this Swaziland News on Sunday, when asked whether the King will take legal action after the accusations,Percy Simelane,the King’s Spokesperson said,he was not aware if a process to take legal action has commenced.
“We knew the truth would prevail in the end,and we said it.We were confident to that when it prevailed, political stunting on the part of the accuser would be exposed.The King is in seclusion now and we are not aware of any legal processes pointing to a lawsuit against his accuser left in his Palace for action or in the office of the Atorney General,” said the King’s Spokesperson.
Efforts to reach former EFF Secretary General Godrich Gardee proved unsuccessful at the time of committing this report.
On another note, King Mswati was accused of killing Hillary Gardee after EFF’s Godrich Gardee tweeted labeling the eSwatini King as the prime suspect.
