MATSAPHA:Mancoba Khumalo, the Minister of Commerce,Industry and Trade says,Government encourages collaboration between businesses for the benefit the Nation particularly, the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector, Government online platforms reported on Thursday.
It has been reported that,the Commerce Minister was speaking during the Coca-Cola Beverages Eswatini Bizniz-In-A-Box campaign award ceremony.
The Bizniz-In-A-Box initiative seeks to empower and assist MSMEs in Eswatini by offering them access to markets, training, and mentorship, as well as a fully functional mobile kitchen. At least eight(8)MSMEs won themselves fully-fitted mobile kitchens worth over E85 000 each.
“This collaboration between Coca-Cola and Business Eswatini, stands as a testament to the power of partnerships in driving economic growth, fostering entrepreneurship, and propelling Eswatini's economy forward.The MSMEs have a great chance to expand their operations, generate income, and support the national economy with this. This initiative serves as a catalyst for economic empowerment, job creation, and poverty alleviation by nurturing entrepreneurship and fostering sustainable business ventures,” said the Commerce Minister.
The Commerce Minister said, the promotion of MSMEs was not merely a matter of economic policy but a strategic investment in the sustainable development of a Nation, fostering innovation, inclusivity, and resilience in the face of global challenges.
”Moving forward, as Government, we will continue to nurture a partnership with the private sector in order to encourage such initiatives for the benefit of the Nation at large,” he said.
