MBABANE:Celucolo Vilakati,an employee of the Embassy of the United States of America(USA) and Managing Director Aleche Consulting Engineers allegedly defrauded widow Dumsile Ndzimandze her shareholding after the death of husband Henry Muzie Ndzimandze,an investigation reveals.
Documents in our possession suggest that,the late Muzie Ndzimandze who was the husband to Dumsile Malima-Ndzimandze was the Managing Director at Aleche Consulting Engineers(Pty)Ltd, a company that was contracted to the International Convention Centre(ICC) and Five Star Hotel(FISH),he was holdings 30% shareholding.
But after the death of Ndzimandze,Celucolo Vikakati who was the business partner to Dumsile’s late husband allegedly refused to pay the widow the 30% shareholdings.
It has been disclosed through documents that,a few months before he died,Muzie Ndzimandze, the late Managing Director of Eleche Consulting Engineers transferred the shares to his wife so she can take care of the children.
When this Swaziland News tried to seek a comment from Vilakati,he joined the ‘fast’ all his numbers were later switched-off and/or not available on the network.
Speaking to this Swaziland News on Sunday evening,Dumsile Malima-Ndzimandze confirmed that,the US Embassy employee was using power and connections to deprive her the shareholding.
“That’s what he does,when called about this matter,he just avoid questions and switch-off the phone.I’ve been trying to get help on this matter,no one is willing to assist me,even lawyers and journalists and I don’t know what to do.Some journalists tried to follow it but they later dropped it,when I go to court, files disappear”,said the widow.
On another note,Eleche Consulting Engineers(Pty)Ltd has been granted tenders in multimillion projects that include the construction of police houses and the International Convention Centre(ICC) and Five Star Hotel(FISH), the widow said,in all the projects,Vilakati who “is now” the Managing Director of the company refused to pay her dividends as per the shareholding transferred to her by her late husband.
Reached for comments on Sunday evening, Msebe Malinga,the Registrar of Companies confirmed knowledge of the matter adding that,he was working towards ensuring that, both parties resolve it amicably.
“Good evening Nkhosi.Yes I am aware of the matter.And yes she did come to my office to present her matter on the issue of shares that were held by her late husband in the company and supposedly transferred to her.We also engaged the other parties and are still working on having the matter resolved,”said the Registrar of Companies.
