MBABANE:Alpheous Nxumalo,the Government Spokesperson has accused Barnes Dlamini,the President of the Swaziland Democratic Party(SWADEPA) and three(3) others of traveling to China to plot the second(2nd) wave of the political unrest.

Speaking to this Swaziland News this week,the Government Spokesperson said, Government will release full details in due about the political activist’s trip to People’s Republic of China(PRC).

Nxumalo then clarified that,Lobamba Lomdzala Member of Parliament(MP)Marwick Khumalo was not among those who travelled to China as per an online circulating report quoting him.

The three(3)others, it has been confirmed, include former Senate Deputy President Ngomyayona Gamedze, SWADEPA Secretary General Mbongseni Shabangu and former Commerce, Industry and Trade Minister Gideon Dlamini.

“Government is aware that Barnes Dlamini from MSF and the three(3) others went to China to plot something that is not good for the country.Lawa ngulamadvodza Hulumende lakhuluma ngawo lalandzela i-mission yabo Mlungisi Makhanya neMmeli Mngometulu who also went to China that week.Government will confirm the further details to the Nation in due course. But,I can confirm to you that the four(4)left the country on Sunday, they took a flight in Johannesburg on Monday and they will come back this coming Sunday.They will travel with a shuttle from Oliver Tambo back to the country via the Oshoek boarder”, said the Government Spokesperson.

Barnes Dlamini and Mbongseni Shabangu are SWADEPA members while Gamedze and Gideon Dlamini are members of Sive Siyinqaba National Movement.

Lawyer Sicelo Mngomezulu labelled Government Spokesperson as a known liar who thrives in spreading sheeben gossip.

“Alpheous is a well known pathological liar and prolific conman. As usual, he thrives in spreading sheeben gossip and falsehoods. I regularly travel all over the world meeting leaders of serious economies or as the exigencies of my businesses dictate. I don't owe him or his despotic Regime an explanation as to where and why I travel. Angabi nelihabiya,” said the lawyer, the Chairperson of the pro-democracy MultiStakeholder Forum(MSF).

But in a joint statement released on Friday,SWADEPA and Sive Siyinqaba confirmed that,their members travelled to the People’s Republic of China however, the two(2) political organizations clarified that, they were hosted by the China People’s Institute for Foreign Affairs just to familiarize them about China’s political system.

“We wanted to learn more about their political system and how political parties operate given that the PRC is one of the most non-violent and peaceful countries in the world.The PRC publicly denounces the use of force and or violence to bring about any political change or even transformation,and they practice what they preach.They are actually very strong on the use of dialogue than violent confrontation”,reads the statement in part, released by the two political organizations whose leaders travelled to China.
