MBABANE:Zweli Martin Dlamini, the editor of this Swaziland News says, Senator Princess Ncengencenge spoke freely on Channel S,labelling multiparty democracy as “Umbuso wamgico-mgico” but went on to accuse him of being against the country for calling for multiparty democracy.
This comes after the Senator ran to Channel S People’s and Places on Thursday to speak about the editor, and an article that was published about her where she was campaigning for her alleged girlfriend Tengetile Mahlalela during the recent Regional Women Members of Parliament(MPs) elections, Mahlalela lost the elections and the Senator blamed the editor for allegedly de-campaigning her candidate.
The Senator then clarified that, she was no longer a lesbian and urged MPs to refrain from speaking to the editor as he declared that, he was against the Tinkhundla system of Governance.
“Princess Ncengencenge knows nothing about politics,he spoke freely denouncing multiparty democracy while marketing Tinkhundla system, she claim to understand democracy and politics. But she went on to portray me as a bad person for declaring that I am against Tinkhundla system. If there’s nothing wrong with Ncengencenge expressing her political views against multiparty democracy, what is wrong with me declaring that I don’t support Tinkhundla system?. Even during Umhlanga, Buganu and Incwala, some citizens use culture to express their political views, I remember a song titled “Asiwafuni emaphathi Ngwenyama singacedzana sodvwana”, the song was composed by Imbali. But when other citizens compose their songs against Tinkhundla system and the King, they are arrested, tortured and killed. Ngule-Monarchial democracy yakhabo Ncengencenge-ke leyo. Ncengencenge must know that, being a member of the royal family does not give one the monopoly to think for others. I repeat even now, I'm against the Tinkhundla system that forced about 70% of the population to poverty. I have a right to express my political views just like she did on Channel S”, said the editor.
The editor then reminded the Senator that, being appointed by Mswati to Parliament for the third term does not mean, she knows politics.
“Ukhona umuntfu longatsi yena akawafuni emaphathi tikahle Tinkhundla bese in the same interview on Channel S utsi mine lengitsi angifuni Tinkhundla I’m the enemy of the State. Loko akubite nge-politiki, kumele ngitifune ngekhani le-Tinkhundla ngoba tifunwa nguye. As human beings we are diverse in our thinking and behavior. Naye uMtfwaneNkhosi wakhetsa kuba lesbian kute lowatsi akaboshwe, it was her choice kutsi ufuna kulala naluphi luhlobo lwemuntfu, asebentise umlomo noma umunwe.Nekutsi sewayekela kulala nebesifazane abe awesifazane naye sikuva ngaye loko,we won’t judge her because we respect human rights. Even in politics, we must be free to say we want or we don’t want Tinkhundla”, said the editor.
