LOZITHA:King Mswati is highly expected to announce the appointment of members of the various Governing Councils(emaBandla) shortly after dissolving emaButfo this week,marking the end of the annual Incwala ceremony.
Reached for comments by this Swaziland News on Tuesday evening,King’s Spokesperson Percy Simelane confirmed that,members of emaBandla(Governing Councils) will be appointed after Incwala.
“True,the expectation is that the King will appoint Emabandla when he comes out of seclusion as usual.There is however no dialized date known to us for the appointment in question”, said the King’s Spokesperson.
Members of the Governing Councils whose appointment falls under the constitutional jurisdiction of the King include; Regional Administrators, King Advisory Council,Ludzidzini Council,Land Management Board,Minerals Management Board, the Civil Service Commission(CSC) and the Teaching Service Commission(TSC).
Others include; the Boarder Restoration Committee(BRC),the Citizenship Board and the Elections and Boundaries Commission(EBC).
The King is also expected to appoint new Ambassadors.
