No security officer was killed for political reasons in this country before the 29th June 2021 massacre and/or killing of civilians.
Prime Minister(PM) Russell Mmiso Dlamini must allow an international investigation into the political killings, including the assassination of human rights lawyer Thulani Rudolf Maseko, the Chairperson of the pro-democracy MultiStakeholder Forum(MSF).
PM Russell Dlamini thinks by mentioning the killing of police officers, the demand for an investigation into human rights lawyer Thulani Rudolf Maseko’s assassination will fade away.
We want to know and the international community must know why the police officers were killed during the political unrest.
I was following the South African-Israel case at the International Court of Justice(ICJ) and how the Israel legal team articulated the self-defense mechanism in terms of international law.
The international investigation will help us to understand who killed the State police officers and why?.
Police officers who are busy even these days attacking and killing civilians must know that one day, some of them will be killed, we might not know the day but it will eventually come.
I am saying this because the current generation, as demonstrated after the June 2021 massacre where King Mswati’s security officers killed dozens of innocent civilians, is not ready to go down without a fight, police officers, soldiers or warders must know that they don’t have a monopoly over killing.
Whenever, we expose that, security officers have crossed the boarder to hunt human rights defenders or killed civilians, there would be no government reaction in this regard.
But government is blaming the international community for keeping when Underground Forced killed State police officers, this government thinks the international community is ignorant, human rights organizations know why police officers were killed.
Furthermore, this tendency by State police officers to cross the boarder to hunt human rights defenders will one day back-fire.
Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini, Government and King Mswati must allow an international investigation, we want accountability on the political killings.
As mentioned, even those who killed security officers will have an opportunity to justify why they decided to take that route.
Every-time, a call is made to investigate the assassination of prominent human rights lawyer Thulani Rudolf Maseko, government normally justifies that Thulani’s case won’t be investigated in isolation but all political killings must be investigated.
Why is government singing a song instead of investigating all the political killings but, the international community is interested in Thulani Maseko assassination, we don’t want the State yo divert focus.
Government is well resourced to investigate the political killing instead of releasing press statements saying “we will investigate all killings not just Thulani Maseko’s case”, we demand an investigation not politicking.

Prime Minister Rusell Dlamini and Attorney General Sifiso Khumalo.
