MBIKWAKHE:Thabo Dlamini, a former Times of eSwatini journalist who residents at Mbikwakhe has told this Swaziland News that, stray dogs are attacking residents including children in this community and consuming human flesh.
Mbikwakhe is situated about fifteen kilometers(15km) from the densely populated Matsapha Industrial Town, some textile workers reside in this area that is under Kwaluseni Inkhundla.
“We can confirm that the stray dogs are attacking residents here, children have been badly injured,” he said.
A questionnaire was sent to Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, the Police Spokesperson, however, she had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
A health worker at Mbikwakhe Clinic who has been treating the residents including children confirmed that, the residents “are living” in fear.
“It’s a pity the mother of the child who is the latest victim does not have a cellphone, maybe you must speak to her, she was here with the child kutoshintja libhandisi,” said the health worker.
On another note, Dlamini further mentioned that, it’s not clear who owns the dogs and the suspected owners are denying ownership.
