MBABANE:Wandile Dludlu, the Deputy President of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) came hard on the State for urging Judge Mumcy Dlamini to sentence convicted pro-democracy Members of Parliament(MPs) Mduduzi Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube to life imprisonment.

Addressing supporters of the MPs outside the High Court in Mbabane on Thursday, the PUDEMO Deputy President maintained that, the MPs committed no crime.

“The State is arguing that the MPs must be sentenced to life sentences for a crime that they never committed. They were also falsely accused of murder of a person who died during a protest”, said the PUDEMO Deputy President.

The two(2) pro-democracy MPs were arrested, charged and subsequently convicted on politically motivated terrorism and murder charges merely for demanding democracy.

On another note, the PUDEMO Deputy President said,eMaswati should not expect a fair sentence from Judge Mummcy Dlamini.

"EmaSwati must expect nothing from Mummcy lankantolo uyakotita ngalobukubetsela Bacede na Mthandeni labamsulwa. Expect nothing from Judge Mummcy she is performing her duties as wife here at the High Court by crucifying Bacede and Mthandeni who are innocent. She has no regard for the rule of law," said the PUDEMO Deputy President.

Other leaders who came to offer solidarity support to the convicted MPs include the President of the Ngwane National Liberatory Congress(NNLC) Sibongile Mazibuko, PUDEMO Deputy Secretary General(DSG) Maxwell Dlamini and Bishop Nkambule among others.
