MBABANE:One of King Mswati’s wives is vigorously demanding the urgent arrest of those implicated in the multi-million shortage of drugs scandal.
The Queen is alleged to be furious that the delay in the arrest was bringing unnecessary attention to her husband who has been accused of looting public funds within the Ministry of Health.
It is alleged that, some of the drugs shortage suspects were planning to approach the Inkhosikati whose name cannot be revealed for ethical reasons,to reason with her for protection.
The suspects are alleged to have tried to approach King Mswati but failed before attempting to approach the Inkhosikati, who told their Lincusa to inform them to back-off as they created troubles for her husband.
When this journalist communicated with the King’s wife on Sunday, she stated categorically that, the suspects must not even dare approach her,as she “is not”their friend.
“Hhawu, don’t stress Nkhosi, kusete lotile Dlamini Wekunene,I am not their friend.Futsi kute lotakuta.Abaphume kimi shem.Siyabonga Nkhosi”,said the King’s wife.
On another note,Percy Simelane, the King’s Spokesperson previously told this publication that, the King wants all those who looted monies within the Ministry of Health resulting to the shortage of drugs behind bars.
“We still believe that drug shortages in our hospitals are not at all caused by the King’s insensitivity to life but ghost operations and daylight thefts that benefit people still to be officially identified. There has always been a budget for drugs every year, calculated from scientific estimates. It was therefore nind-bottling that shortages had become part of our lives. Politicizing drug shortages in our hospitals has delayed dealing with it head-on. We, however, are confident that the time for the axe to fall is now, and when it does, the world won’t miss it.Someone must account for both the corruption that results in drug shortages in our hospitals and the daylight theft before, during, and after deliveries,” said the King’s Spokesperson.
