MBABANE:Gospel artist France Dlamini has been cleared after Kayise Nhleko, his alleged controversial girlfriend avoided the media when asked to produce the baby, nine months after she claimed to have been impregnated by the gospel artist.
When questioned by this Swaziland News on Friday to produce the baby as per her earlier claims, Nhleko sounded surprised that the media was still following the matter, she confirmed that there was never any pregnancy.
“Solo nine nisagadze kubona umntfwana, kute umntfwana(meaning: You are still waiting for the baby, there’s no baby” she said.
Colani Hlatswako, the Coordinator for One Billion Rising Campaign Africa, an organization that promotes women rights said she will share a comment later on the matter.
The Coordinator was asked to share sentiments regarding the conduct of the woman who allegedly subjected the gospel artist to abuse by claiming that he impregnated her.
The gospel artist had to seek protection from the Manzini Magistrate Court after the woman who claimed to be his girlfriend gave series of interviews to the media, she went on to record audios that were shared on social media where she claimed to be pregnant with twins, this was around January 2020.
In an earlier interview with Channel Swazi, the gospel artist confirmed knowing the woman but denied impregnating her, he was also reluctant to confirm whether he was in a relationship with her or not.
When asked to comment on the latest developments, Dlamini said Kayise was in a better position to give all the information regarding the matter.
“She must share all the details (Asive ngaye konkhe)” he said.
