Eswatini Observer to pay outstanding loan installments for employees, matter with Eswatini Bank settled out of court.

MBABANE: Eswatini Observer has successfully negotiated with legal representatives for the Eswatini Bank to settle a matter involving the newspaper’s employees out of court.

This comes after the Bank took some workers of the ‘State’ owned newspaper to court for failing to service their loans, the newspaper admitted that the employees failed to pay or service their loans due to non-payment of their salaries.

Court documents suggest that the matter has been settled out of court after the Eswatini Observer that delayed the payment of salaries resulting to the mess, promised to pay the bank on behalf of the workers.

It alleged that,the Observer workers landed in trouble with the bank after their employer deducted the monies for the loans without remmitting same to the financial institution, Mbongeni Mbingo is the Managing editor of the Eswatini Observer.
