Eswatini MPs Welcome Dlamini, Nathie ‘Mdokies’ Hlophe call for employment of more soldiers to shoot more pro-democracy protesting civilians.

MBABANE:Eswatini Members of Parliament(MP) Welcome Dlamini and Nathie Hlophe have called for the employment of more soldiers to deal with pro-democracy protesting civilians.

The sentiments of the MPs come after the killing of dozens of civilians by King Mswati’s soldiers and the police merely for,demanding democratic reforms.

The MPs said soldiers managed to bring back the country when it was clear that,it had been taken by other forces.

Speaking in Parliament on Monday during the debate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation,Mbabane East MP Welcome Dlamini further applauded the soldiers for restoring peace and stability during the recent political unrest,the soldiers silenced protestors by doing random shooting and killing of civilians.

“Soldiers did a very commendable job during the unrest by restoring peace and stability,we need more soldiers”,said the Mbabane East MP who was supported by Nathie Hlophe from Mtfongwaneni.

Other MPs who supported the idea include appointed MP and former Army Deputy Commander Tsembeni Magongo, Sabelo Mtsetfwa from Mafutseni,Mduduzi Mantunta Dlamini (Nkomiyahlaba), Deputy Speaker Madala Mhlanga,Sicelo Jele (LaMgabhi) and Sicelo Dlamini from Mayiwane.
