MBABANE: Former Senator Robert Zwane has died, his family has confirmed to this Swaziland News.
The businessman who was owning the now defunct Ekhaya Butchery in Manzini allegedly died in Ermelo, one of his sons told this publication.
“It’s true, my father died in Ermelo, but you can get further details from Themba Zwane, his younger son” said the ex-Senator’s son.
Reached for comments on Monday evening, Themba Zwane said as a family, they were still locked in a meeting discussing the matter.
“We are still in a meeting as a family discussion the matter, however, I will inform you later on the relevant person who will speak and give further details as I am the youngest” said the former Senator’s son.
Zwane, a businessman who also instrumental in the establishment of community police and at the time of his death, he was engaging government to enact a law that would see community police officers paid allowances.
