No salaries for Government employees who renovated Tinkhundla Centres burnt during political unrest, more State institutions struggling to pay wages amid collapsing Tinkhundla system.

MBABANE:Government employees who renovated some Tinkhundla Centres burnt during the recent political unrest are complaining about failure to pay their salaries for over three(3)months now.

When this publication contacted Chief Ndlaluhlaza Ndwandwe, the Minister of Public Works and Transport,he failed to give an explanation.

The workers alleges that, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport has been delaying to pay their salaries adding that, they were promised around three-thousand five hundred Rands(R3,500.00) as a salary.

“No one is willing to talk and explain to us regarding the delay, we want our money”, said one of the workers whose identity cannot be revealed for ethical reasons.

On another note, other State institutions that include the Elections and Boundaries Commission(EBC), Eswatini Observer,University of Eswatini(UNESWA) and the Southern African Nazarene University(SANU) are some of the institutions struggling to pay salaries. In the private sector, security and other private companies are who are owed by Government after rendering services,are also struggling to pay salaries for employees.
