EZULWINI:Futhie Tembe has been appointed as the new Eswatini National Provident Fund(ENPF) Chief Executive Officer(CEO) after a fair, transparent and credible recruitment exercise that was conducted by the Board of Directors.
The new and first female ENPF CEO, was announced by Labour and Social Security Minister Phila Buthelezi on Monday during a press conference held the Happy Valley Hotel.
Reached for comments on Tuesday morning,Nonhlanhla Dlamini,the Executive Director of the Eswatini Action Group Against Abuse(SWAGAA) said as women, they were happy with the appointment of Tembe as the new ENPF CEO.
“As women we are happy to see women occupying such powerful positions,she is qualified for the job and was not appointed by favour. This is what we are advocating for that,even though we want women in positions of authority,let’s have qualified women.I have already congratulated her and we are happy to see our country gradually transforming when it comes to the appointment of women to such positions”, said the SWAGAA Director when speaking to editor Zweli Martin Dlamini.
On another note,Mduduzi Gina, the Provident Fund Board Chairperson who was also present during the press conference, congratulated the new CEO.
