Save the Children Eswatini Director Dumsani Mnisi finally confirms organization might close amid scarcity of donors.

MBABANE:Dumsani Mnisi,the Executive Director of the Save the Children Eswatini has finally confirmed that, the organization is facing financial challenges.

This comes after this Swaziland News reported earlier on Sunday evening that,the organization will close amid scarcity of donors, Thembinkosi Dlamini,the Executive Director of the Coordinating Assembly of Nongovernmental Organizations(CANGO) confirmed that, some projects previously awarded to Save the Children Eswatini, were being transferred to other organizations.

“We can confirm that Save the Children Eswatini will soon close and we are currently discussing and considering a transfer of some project that were under Save the Children to other organizations”, said the CANGO Director.

But Save the Children Director Dumsani Mnisi who earlier denied that, the organization might close later sent a message to editor Zweli Martin Dlamini confirming that, indeed, the organization was facing financial challenges.

“Hello, you called about Save the Children. The organization is still functioning but there has been some challenges going foward with fund. The matter is so th the Board now and they will issue a statement shortly to state the exact position going forward”, said the Save the Children Executive Director in a message sent to editor Zweli Martin Dlamini.
