NHLANGANO: Sakhile ‘Awviva’ Nxumalo,the President of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) Youth League, the Swaziland Youth Congress(SWAYOCO) was leading a team of political activists who went to Nhlangano Magistrates Court on Friday to support Gege senior resident Mciniseli Nhleko,whose home was demolished earlier this week.
Nhleko was subsequently assaulted and arrested by the police for raising a voice, after a TLB driven by an unknown person invaded his home and demolished his houses.
Hundreds of residents are also homeless after their houses were demolished as well allegedly, by a politically connected group of capitalists.
Members of the Communist Party of Swaziland(CPS) were also present in court to support the arrested and persecuted Gege resident.
Eswatini is ruled by King Mswati as an absolute, human rights are violated with impunity.
It has been reported that, politically connected businessmen that include Tito Dlamini, Sandile Simelane and Taiwan investors are behind the evictions and demolitions at Gege, police were allegedly ordered to arrest and torture any resident who will raise a voice.
