MBABANE:Alpheous Nxumalo, the Government Spokesperson says, the  police are ready to deal with members of proscribed political parties who are hijacking the Gege-Mbondzela demolitions to advance their political agenda.

Speaking to the State owned Eswatini TV on Thursday, the Government Spokesperson said, the political organizations are planning to mobilize for more protests.

“We are aware that there are certain organizations in this country, some of them of course, are proscribed entities which have taken a lip trying to manipulate the situation and mischievously mobilize for march to deliver petitions even to wrong offices which have got nothing to do the matter in question. Government would like to say we reject that propaganda and the law enforcement agencies are going to continue maintaining peace in this country at all cost and at all times”, said the Government Spokesperson.

The sentiments of the Government Spokesperson comes at the time when the regime is unleashing the police and soldiers to kill civilians merely for protesting against human rights violations and demanding democracy.

Thomas Nhlabatsi, a member of the Ngwane National Liberatory Congress(NNLC) was allegedly killed by King Mswati’s soldiers, he was leading petition delivery at Nkilongo Inkhundla during the recent political unrest.

On another note, on Wednesday, members of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO), the Communist Party of Swaziland(CPS) and the Economic Freedom Fighters Swaziland(EFFSWA) were attacked by the police for supporting the Gege-eMbondzela residents whose homes were demolished.
