OPINION:Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini who failed to account for over R210million is a soft-spoken corrupt thief so is the King who appointed him.

The latest report of the Auditor General(AG) Timothy Matsebula that exposes the disappearance of another R30million within the National Disaster Management Agency(NDMA) suggests that, Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini, the then NDMA Chief Executive Officer(CEO) is an alleged soft-spoken dangerous corrupt thief.

It’s a pity because even the King who appointed this man to lead a government is also an alleged thief and this, means taxpayers might not get justice after the disappearance of their money.

Indeed, there’s no distinction between the conduct of the Prime Minister and the appointing authority that always elevates political thugs into positions of significant trust.

Russell Dlamini was first accused of failing to account for about R180million when questioned by the Parliament Public Accounts Commitee(PAC) but, despite his tainted reputation, the King went on to him.

The PM must be held accountable for the disappearance of these public funds amid shortage of drugs in public hospitals and a collapsed education system.

We will therefore, continue to demand as we hereby do, the accountability of the missing public funds under the watchful eye of the Prime Minister, unleashing the Anti Corruption Commission(ACC) to the Auditor General(AG) will not save him.

The public deserves to know what happened to their money and as Nhlambeni Member of Parliament(MP) Manzi Zwane articulated in Parliament on Monday morning, these are public funds and must he accounted for.
