MBABANE:Karim Khan,the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court(ICC) says, he has been threatened by some elected leaders who told him that, the court was built for Africa and thugs like Russian President Vladimir Putin.
This comes after the ICC Prosecutor disclosed that, he was preparing to apply for warrants of arrest against Israel Prime Minister(PM) Benjamin Netanyahu, other senior Government officials including Hamas leaders over the ongoing war in Gaza.
“Of course I’ve had some elected leaders, speaks to me and be very blunt; “this court is built for Africa and for thugs like Putin”, said the ICC Prosecutor.
But the Prosecutor told CNN during an interview that, he won’t be intimidated adding that, the ICC represents justice and humanity and therefore, must fulfill its mandate.
