This warning was allegedly directed to re-appointed Ludzidzini Council member Ncumbi Maziya who was recently exposed by this Swaziland News for using the King’s name to defraud the Eswatini Revenue Service(ERS) over R3.8million in taxes.
Information gathered by this publication suggests that, Maziya made attempts to apologize to Mswati after the King demanded answers why he defrauded the revenue service in his name, according to documents in possession of this Swaziland News, Maziya allegedly imported goods and evaded tax in King’s name.
“The King warned him not to use his name again when engaging in corruption.Besekubhedza mani watfumela lincusa wayotigicita eNkhosini”, said a royal insider very close to the King.
The Ludzidzini Council member declined to comment when reached for comments by this publication.
Reached for comments earlier, King’s Spokesperson Percy said, when it comes to abusing the King’s name for personal gain, it’s a “no go area”.
