KAMVUMA:Chief Mshayeli Myeni of KaMvuma under Lubulini Inkhundla allegedly assaulted and almost killed his girlfriend last weekend.

It has been disclosed that,the State police subsequently sabotaged the case saying “arresting a Chief will tarnish the image of the Tinkhundla system and provide an opportunity to those calling for democracy to attack the system of governance”.

Police Spokesperson Senior Superintendent Phindile Vilakati declined to comment about the matter.

Reached for comments on Monday evening, Chief Mshayeli Myeni expressed shock that the story has reached the Swaziland News,he then apologized for assaulting his girlfriend.

“Nkhosiyami Nkhosi,kwenzeke liphutsa lelikhulu kakhulu Dlamini.Kodvwa ungicolele Nkhosiyami LaDlamini nginaye nje nangu.Angati ngitawutsini-ke nyalo ngoba seyifike kini lendaba.MtfwaneNkhosi Nkhosiyami, yona lendaba seyize yafika kini.Ukhona yena nangu bekadze ayoshintja libhandishi wakhandza Dokotela angekho,kumele abuyele(meaning:I am sorry, she forgave me and I’m with her now. I’m shocked that the story has reached you.We are together as we speak, she was supposed to visit the doctor for medical check-up”, said the Chief.
