Eswatini Higher Education Council signs Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) with Labour Ministry,to support vocational training institutions capacitate emaSwati with skills.

MBABANE: The Eswatini Higher Education Council(ESHEC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) with the Ministry of Labour and Social Security that seeks to, among others, revolutionize vocational training in the country.

The signing of the MoU comes amid the ever-changing dynamics of the fourth Industrial Revolution,countless graduates struggle to find employment and despite holding degrees and diplomas,many end up in menial jobs that don’t make use of their skills. 

The MoU was signed in Mbabane on the 16th May 2024, Makhosini Mndzawe, the Principal Secretary(PS) in the Ministry of Labour and Social Security signed on behalf of Government.

Under the signed MoU, ESHEC will now work with Government to promote the establishment of vocational training institutions to assist emaSwati enhance their skills to be relevant with the demand for human resources relevant to the various industries.
