SWAGAA Director Nonhlanhla Dlamini urges Police Executive Command to take action against detective Prisca Mavuso for assaulting her boyfriend.

MBABANE:Nonhlanhla Dlamini,the Executive Director of the Eswatini Action Group Against Abuse(SWAGAA),has urged the Police Executive Command to take action against police detective Prisca Mavuso for assaulting her boyfriend Nathie Dlamini.

This comes after this Swaziland News published videos and pictures where the police detective was seen allegedly assaulting her boyfriend,the detective allegedly invaded the house of the boyfriend who was with his baby-mama at night and heavily assaulted him.

The boyfriend then used minimum force to try and defend himself from the detective who invaded his house and assaulted him.

“As SWAGAA,we received calls,people were calling asking what are we doing about the officer who assaulted his boyfriend.I hope even the Executive Command will take action,abuse should be discouraged regardless of the gender”, said the SWAGAA Director.

Senior Superintendent Phindile Vilakati declined to comment about the matter.

On another note,the SWAGAA Director urged members of the public to react the same way and condemn Gender Based Violence(GBV) even when women are abused.

“The story touched many people maybe it’s because a man was seen being assaulted by a woman.We urge the public to condemn Gender Based Violence(GBV)even when a man is seen assaulting a woman,GBV must be discouraged”, said the SWAGAA Director.
