BHUNYA: Jeremiah Malinga,a member of the Umbutfo Eswatini Defense Force(UEDF) allegedly stopped a Quantum and subsequently went straight to the driver’s seat to shoot public transport owner Mncedisi Hlatjwako after accusing him of cheating and sleeping with his wife.

The incident happened on Friday along the Bhunya-Mhlambanyatsi road,and the alleged cruel soldier was subsequently arrested by the Bhunya police while Hlatjwako is recovering at the Mbabane Government Hospital Intensive Care Unit(ICU).

Senior Superintendent Phindile Vilakati,the Police Spokesperson declined to comment about the matter.

But information shared by State police officers to this journalist suggests that,the soldier who shot the public transport owner in full view of members of the public,is facing attempted murder charges among others.

Eswatini is facing a surge in domestic violence cases,Nonhlanhla Dlamini,the Executive Director of the Eswatini Action Group Against Abuse(SWAGAA) urged Government and the private sector to assist Non-Governmental Organizations(NGOs) in eradicating Gender Based Violence(GBV).
