MBABANE: Sipho Dlamini, the President of the Federation of Disabled People Of Swaziland (FODSWA) has called upon government to speed up the implementation of the Disability Act of 2018 for the welfare of disabled people in the country.
Dlamini was speaking during an interview with Swaziland News Audio channel where he said disabled people were also human beings but their only difference is that there are some things that they are not able to do for themselves. He stated that disabled people live within all the principles and rights of life.
"Among the many challenges faced by disable people is that sometimes they find it hard to attend school or at worse tertiary institutions due to the fact that there is no proper infrastructure that will accommodate them as disable people," he said.
Dlamini said that is when governments need to see to it on how they should address such issue according to the UN Charter so that everyone can be accommodated.
