BHUNYA:Sihle Mavuso,the Spokesperson of Montigny Investments says,the forestry company will remember residents of Bhunya and surrounding areas who helped in fighting forest wild fires this week.
Eswatini experienced wild fires across the country that destroyed homes and other properties,the damage is worth millions.
“Our company was affected as well, we have been fighting wild fires since Friday and residents were very helpful in this regard. We urge residents to continue to be on the lookout for wild fires and the company will remember those who helped in preventing the loss of such an important company assets that drives the economy”, said Montigny Spokesperson when speaking to this Swaziland News on Wednesday.
Mavuso further said, the company has employed over twelve thousand(12000) emaSwati directly and indirectly adding that, it remains one of the major contributors in the economy through tax.
The Montigny Spokesperson said apart from the tax paid by the company, sub-contractors and the workers are taxpayers.
“It is in this regard that we request collective efforts in protecting this assets that benefits all of us”, said the Montigny Spokesperson.
