MBABANE:Pamela Nkomonde, the ShopRite Eswatini Manager has come-out to clarify that, workers are not forced to visit the Mbabane Government Hospital for sick-sheets amid shortage of drugs.

Responding to this Swaziland News on Sunday, after some employees claimed the retail company forced them to visit the Government Hospital for medical treatment to secure acceptable sick-sheets,the Manager vigorously denied the allegations.

But the workers alleged that, the retail company was refusing to accept sick-sheets from other health institutions except for the Mbabane Government Hospital.

“Good morning Musa. That is not true-we as a group and SR Eswatini accept any health institution’s sick note as long as the sick note is signed by a doctor and has the necessary stamps. We follow exactly the requirements made by the Ministry of Health which give a clear guide on sick notes. If there are any employees who seek to raise any complaints regarding this they can speak directly to their line manager to get in touch with HR who will get involved to help resolve any concerns”,said the ShopRite Manager in a message sent to this publication.
