MANZINI:Lungile Dlamini,the Chief Executive Officer(CEO)of the Manzini Municipality has been appointed the Vice President of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) of the Southern hemisphere.
ICMA is a huge global organization based in Washington DC-the United States(US),originally called the International City Managers’ Association,it represents professionals within the Local Government administration across the world.
The organization also conducts research while providing education,training and networking opportunities for its members,particularly on Local Government leadership.
On Thursday,officials from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development who were representing Minister Apollo Maphalala,current and former Mayors,Councillors and Municipality Chief Executive Officers(CEOs) attended an event held at the Manzini Municipality Chambers, the event was organized to congratulate the Manzini Chief Executive Officer(CEO) for being appointed into such a huge position within the international local Government administration.
Gideon Mhlongo,the former Mbabane Chief Executive Officer(CEO),Business Eswatini Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Nathie Dlamini and Far East Director Tokkie Hou was also part of the event.
