Prophet Bushiri and wife to spend weekend in custody as bail hearing postponed

RETORIA - The self-proclaimed prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife, Mary will be remanded in custody until Monday, 26 October after their bail application was postponed, eNCA reported on Friday.

The couple is facing charges of fraud, theft and money laundering, the appeared at the Pretoria Magistrates Court where their bail was opposed after the state revealed it needed to investigate more details. Bushiri\'s supporters have congregated outside the court in their numbers and vowed to come back on Monday to show support to the Prophet and his wife.
