MBABANE:Alpheous Nxumalo,the Government Spokesperson has stooped so low in an attempt to promote his online insulting platform as a reliable publication such that,he created a fake X(formerly Twitter) post purported to have been posted by the United Nations(UN) endorsing the platform.

This comes after the public snubbed the platform after learning that it was created by Nxumalo and Ncamiso Ngcamphalala,the former President of the Economic Freedom Fighters(EFF) Swaziland who dumped the struggle for democracy to be a propagandist for the Tinkhundla system of Governance.

The alleged fake ‘Tweet’ was urging the public to follow Nxumalo’s platform for credible news.

“Get reliable information about Eswatini,follow the right Channels”, reads the X(Twitter) that was allegedly created by Nxumalo and confirmed to be fake by UN Eswatini Communications Officer Sibusiso Mngadi when reached by this Swaziland News on Sunday.

“This doesn’t look like it is from the official @UN Twitter handle.They would need to share the link from the UN page instead of a picture.I have scanned through the official @UN page and there is nothing of this sort”, said the UN Spokesperson.

Alpheous Nxumalo has been using various questionable online platforms to mislead the public on various issues including the assassination of human rights lawyer Thulani Rudolf Maseko.

The Government Spokesperson declined to comment and clarify why he used the name of the United Nations(UN) in a fraudulent manner,to try and legitimize his online platforms.

Now that Nxumalo and Ngcamphalala have adopted a strategy to do layouts and create Twitter(X), the credibility of Government information disseminated by the Government Spokesperson will now be questioned by the public.
