LWANDLE:Chief Nkamane Mkhatjwa of Lwandle was embarrassed in a traditional meeting at uMphakatsi on Saturday last weekend when Moneni resident Brian Sihlongonyane told the Chief in the ‘face’ to stop calling him a ‘boy’ or alternatively, surrender his wife for a three-sum so he can prove his ability as a man.
A threesum is sex that involves three(3) people and in this context,Sihlongonyane was challenging the Chief to watch him having sex with his wife and thereafter,he will make an informed conclusion if he was a boy or a man.
The tension escalated after Brian Sihlongonyane attended the Lwandle traditional meeting for a matter where the Sihlongonyane family, had reported their ‘Makoti’ Nomphumelelo Mahlalela who sold their grandfather’s home at Moneni and disappeared, the Chief is alleged to have accepted a cow and part of the money from Mahlalela.
The Chief had asked Brain Sihlongonyane to come back with the other family members if they were challenging the sale of the home to which Sihlongonyane did last weekend.
But after realizing that the family members were present, the Chief changed tune and demanded that, Sihlongonyane must come back with ‘Makoti’ Nomphumelelo Mahlalela who sold the home.
“You first demanded that we must come back as a family and now that we are here, you are demanding that we must come back with Nomphumelelo Mahlalela whom you assisted to sell our grandfather’s home.I will not come back with Nomphumelelo because she disappeared and you know that, in fact if I can see her,I could even cause harm to her”, said Brian Sihlongonyane when addressing Chief Nkamane to the surprise of other Lwandle residents and members of the Inner Council(Bandlancane) who were present.
But the Chief subsequently became emotional saying “lendzaba lena ngeke iphetse kahle uma wena mfana utawukhuluma kanjena”.
It was then that Brian Sihlongonyane told the Chief not to dare call him a boy as he was a grown-up man adding that,if he wanted him to prove his abilities as a man,he must surrender his wife for a sexual encounter in his presence.
“Don’t call me a boy,I am not a boy but a man.Nangabe ufuna kubona kutsi ngiyindvodza buyisa umfati wakho ngilale naye utobona kutsi ngiyindvodza.I will never allow this matter to just fade-away, I want my grandfather’s home back”, said Brian Sihlongonyane.
The tension comes amid a dispute over the traditional administration of Moneni that is under Senior Prince uMtfwaneNkhosi Polycarp Dlamini,Chief Nkamane claims to have authority over Moneni.
It alleged that,Makoti Nomphumelelo Dlamini took advantage of the dispute and sold the home belonging to her late father-in-law(Babetala) Sibhadvula Sihlongonyane to Sailus Dlamini,a former police officer.
Chief Nkamane was reported to Ndabazabantu by Brian Sihlongonyane for allegedly playing a role, colluding with Nomphumelelo Mahlalela in the sale of the home and benefiting part of the money.
But,the traditional court subsequently ordered the Chief to preside over the matter first and make a ruling, the Sihlongonyane family was then advised to appeal the ruling with Ndabazabantu if not satisfied.
As result, the Chief is allegedly delaying justice by postponing the matter that is before him hence the tension.
