MBABANE:Foreign Minister Pholile Dlamini-Shakantu’s name is being used to request monies from members of the public through an alleged ‘fake’ Facebook account.
This comes after alleged cyber criminals used Deputy Prime Minister(DPM) Thulisile Dladla, Channel S Director Qhawe Mamba and editor Zweli Martin Dlamini’s name to deceive unsuspecting members of the public to deposit monies online.
When asked by this Swaziland News this week,DPM Thulisile Dladla confirmed that,certain cyber alleged criminals were using her name to try and defraud people.
The cyber alleged criminals recently created a fake translated interview between editor Zweli Martin Dlamini and NewsRoom TV Presenter Naledi Moleo.
In the translated fake interview, the editor and the TV Presenter were purported to be speaking about investing online,the editor dismissed the interview as fake and urged members of the public to avoid depositing monies in online platforms that are not authorized by the Central Bank of Eswatini(CBE) and the Financial Services Regulatory Authority(FSRA).
“Money is very scarce these days hence the public must keep it safe,never be deceived by cyber criminals to deposit money online with the hope that you will get rich fast,there’s nothing like that.Success is a gradual process”, said the editor.
