SIKHUPHE:Staff at the King Mswati International Airport received training on how to quickly evacuate should a bomb be discovered within the building.

Evacuation is the process of removing someone of a place of danger,the training was conducted by the police,the fire department and other law enforcement agencies on Tuesday morning.

“This is an annual training that we normally do, they are training us on how to escape or evacuate should a bomb be discovered within the building.No worries, Mlangeni, it’s part of a Bomb Scare Senario.It’s an exercise of a bomb part of Aviation Security in partnership with the OSSU Team,Fire Department team whereby terrorists plant a bomb inside the airport”, said one of the senior Managers when asked by editor Zweli Martin Dlamini to explain why officers from the police Bomb Disposal Unit were seen hard at work at the Airport.

Senior Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, the Police Spokesperson had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

On another note, the senior Manager told this publication that,the training went very well and the staff demonstrated their readiness to evacuate should a bomb be discovered within the Airport.
