NOKWANE: A bundle of new documentary evidence has emerged in the ongoing multi-million fraud and corruption investigation within the Royal Science and Technology Park(RSTP), part of the documents disclose the construction of mere two(2) guard houses at a price of R4million.
A guard house is a small accommodation for a security guard, the costs were allegedly paid together with other construction costs that resulted to the State owned entity paying about R18million.
An independent investigation conducted by this Swaziland News previously uncovered that, Vumile Dlamini, the removed Chief Executive Officer(CEO) allegedly masterminded the looting of over R100million, but this publication has since uncovered more documents and transactions, alleging that the amount of the looted public funds through corruption within the State owned entity could accumulate to over R300million.
It has been disclosed that, the construction of the guard houses was under Roger Tsai, the Taiwan CECI Engineering Consultant Resident Engineer who was the overseer and/or Principal Project Manager.
Tsai,the alleged brother to former Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen, who was responsible for monitoring the construction of the Royal Science and Technology Park(RSTP), is alleged to have systematically benefited from the alleged rampant looting within the State owned entity and was allegedly colluding with removed CEO Vumile Dlamini.
Reached for comments on Thursday afternoon Roger Tsai denied that, he was responsible for the construction of the guard houses that resulted to over R4million alleged looted from public funds.
“CECI didn't involved the Laboratory project.I can't answer your question”, said the CECI Engineering Consultants Resident Engineer.
Worth-noting, documents suggest that, the brother to the former Taiwan President, was overseeing the project at the time of the rampant looting.
Vumile Dlamini,the removed Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the Royal Science and Technology Park(RSTP) has been avoiding questions since the multimillion scandal erupted, he declined to comment when reached by this publication.
On another note, the Investigation Unit of this Swaziland News is analyzing new evidence gathered this week in the ongoing investigation into the multimillion looting within the State owned entity under the Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology(ICT).
It has been reported that, Vumile Dlamini, the removed Science and Technology Park CEO was investigated by the Anti Corruption Commission(ACC) for alleged corruption within the State owned entity but, the investigation was subsequently sabotaged.
